Gundoku Contest 2019 by JALSTA at Birla Vidya Niketan

JALSTA Organized 3rd Gundoku Contest for school children with the association of "Japan Foundation New Delhi", supported by "Experience Japan" and "Japan Airlines" on December 6th, 2019 (Friday) at 'Birla Vidya Niketan - New Delhi'.


13 Schools from Delhi and NCR participated in this contest and recited a poem "Chikyu Aisatsu" which means "Greetings to the World" written by Madomichio.

  • Delhi Public School Mathura Road

  • Delhi Public School Dwarka

  • Innovative Public School

  • St. Mary's School.

Event was chaired by Mr. Kobayashi (First Secretory - Embassy of Japan) in the kind presence of Mr. Kousuke Noguchi (Director Language & Literature - Japan Foundation),

Jury Members:

  • Prof. Ashok Chawla (Advisor MEA - Japan Desk)

  • Prof. Manjushree Chauhan (Visiting Faculty - JNU)

  • Ms. Etsuko Kobayashi (Nihonjin Gakkoo - New Delhi)

  • Junichi Arima San (Japanese Language Adviser - Japan Foundation)


The winners of the event were:

  • 1st Position: Birls Vidya Niketan, New Delhi

  • 2nd Position: Bluebells International, Kailash

  • 3rd Position: Amity International School, Vasundhra

In the end, Mr. Jitender Mehta given the vote of Thanks to all dignitaries and participants.
